Hamster Exploitation

crazy shoe photos - Hamster Exploitation

Submitted by: Hanabi via Submit Crazy Shoes

Life is full of tough choices.

Do you get a hamster so it can live a life of joy and happiness with its little wheel and wood chips and slurpy vertical water bottle in a cage?

Or do you get a hamster so you can put it in your shoe and give it a concussion with every step you take?

  1. noes says:

:( The creator is a MONSTER!

  2. nimue says:

Those two hamsters are exactly the same. Either they’re not real hamsters, or this is shopped.

  3. roseneko says:

Cute, but it’s got to be a photoshop. The hamsters look identical.

  4. JD says:

Those shoes may actually kill! Poor little hamsters!

    • kristin says:

actually if they were real it appears there are little holes that you could feed them through. My mom says they used to have shoes with goldfish (live) in them. Perhaps these are along the same lines.

    • meat says:

I can’t express how many times I’ve seen the same exact hamster picture on the internet. You can also tell it’s fake because of the picture quality of the hamsters in comparison to the picture quality of the shoes.

  5. daffymommy says:

Is it just me or does the little hamster have a photoshopped identical twin brother?

  6. ann says:

The hamster get a concussion, but the shoe-wearer gets some kind of icky foot fungus or mildew from sweating in those unbreathable plastic monstrosities…… I feel sorrier for the hamster, ’cause he didn’t have a choice in the matter!

  7. Eludya says:

God I really hope those are either photoshopped in, or fake hamsters…

    • Ashley says:

Well, considering how it is the same hamster in both shoes, I’m leaning toward photoshop.

Unless some amazing hamster trainer was able to get both hamsters to look the exact same way at the exact same time…

    • Rio says:

No worries. If you look, it’s the exact same hamster in the exact same pose. Photoshopped in.

    • Lindz says:

No worries that is TOTALLY shopped. Though fishtank platforms do exist……

    • Mimblewimble says:

Don’t worry, they’re COMPLETELY photoshopped in.

    • jamisings says:

I’m actually voting fake. They make incredibly realistic looking toy mice, so I’m sure the same holds true for hamsters.
I’ve often thought about how I’d like a pair of those platform shoes from the 70s that had goldfish in them, but put fake fish inside.

      • Eludya says:

That’s exactly why I still said there’s the possibility of fake hamsters. Although if I were designing a pair of shoes like that with fake hamsters in the bottom, I would get a pair that are in different poses just to make sure you don’t have people going “Nah it’s shopped, they’re exactly the same.”

I just noticed they’re also in different positions inside the shoe. For another note, whoever photoshopped it in if that’s the case isn’t half bad since it really looks like it’s inside the shoe, behind plastic.

  8. Megs says:

Pretty sure those are a product of photoshop. They’re in the exact same position in both shoes…

    • I Stole Your Hat says:

Or maybe they’re just, I don’t know, ACTUAL FAKE HAMSTERS.
Though still, you could be right.

    • hello says:

accually if you look closely they are in different places in the shoe but they are photoshopped

  9. kemm says:

    OMG poor hamsters…

  10. Ubi Dubium says:

Obviously photoshopped. Those hamsters are completely identical, down to the whisker.

  11. sailor midori says:

those have to be photoshopped. they’re in the same exact position. what pair of real hamsters can pose with such precision?

either that, or they’re fake hamsters. in which case…why hamsters?!

  12. darkcloyd says:

there toys. the hamsters look exactly the same. there’s no difference between the, that doesn’t happen in nature..”

  13. Erma Rmires says:

I think this is the most stupid idea outregous, poor hamsters and any other small animal. God how far will the designers go to get customers at what expense. I hope people will have enough sense not to buy them if thy do than thy are as ugly n awful people as the designers. I think instead of the name ((( ifshoescouldkill))) it should have been ((( shoesthatkeepssmallanimalsprisonersorwithoutcarekillsthem ))) ….

  14. Kara says:

they’re photoshopped and/or fake. theyre both the exact same hamster in the exact same pose. not possible at least for the one in the lifted shoe. nice shoes though, minus the hamsters

  15. Lindz says:

    Hahaha! That is bonsikitten funny

  16. Gramma Cool says:

Photoshopped or not, I still hope PETA and the SPCA sue the crap out of the designer.

    • jamisings says:

PETA is known for kidnapping peoples’ pets, killing them, and throwing the remains in dumpsters. They have no right to complain how animals are treated.

      • CoolCrayon says:

Finally, someone who isn’t completely brainwashed by PETA! I’ve seen these shoes, there is no where possible to put any sort of animal inside the shoe. It is a solid plastic pump, this is photoshopped specifically to make people pissed off (probably shopped by PETA). It’s a known fact that some of the worst Videos that PETA has on their websites, are made by themselves. They Fund people who blow up medical research facilities because they use animals to test on (also called eco-terrorism), and have an average of 85% kill rate in animals they take in….

        • WhiskeyTownDweller says:

Yeah, and they dress like the KKK outside of the Westminister dog show. they are totally rational. And when there’s a real problem that needs addressing, they are no where to be found.

          • catstina says:

PETA is a bullshit organization. I am so glad people are starting to see this. They are a cruel, horrific organization. Not only do they kill about 95% of the dogs that they take in but they also support Breed Specific Legislation (BSL). BSL bans specific breeds from specific areas. This means that any dog of that breed, regardless of temperament (Or even career! Even if the dog is a therapy dog!) will be taken away from its family and euthanized! Just because of its breed.

By the way, before you start agreeing because you think they ban only “dangerous breeds,” this doesn’t only affect American Pit Bull Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers and Staffordshire Bull Terriers (the three breeds most commonly called “pit bulls”) and dogs that look similar to these breeds but it can also affect many other breeds. Here is a short list, German Shepherd Dogs (Rin Tin Tin), Bull Terriers (the Target dog), Akitas (Hachiko), Irish Wolf Hounds, Great Danes (Gentle Giants), Mastiffs (almost every type), American Bulldogs, Alaskan Malamutes, Dobermans, Rottweilers, Siberian Huskies (That’s right huskies!), Chow Chows and many other breeds. YOUR breed could be next! Fight for your rights as pet owners! Fight BSL!

Sorry about the tangent, I am really passionate about this issue and PETA’s surprising and disgusting support of it.

    • Whovian Girl says:

Someone probably took the photo from Google Images or something and then ‘shopped it in. The designer is PROBABLY innocent.

  17. nomnom says:

This is TOTAL copy-catness of Disco Stu’s goldfish shoes!

    • hmph says:

And Disco Stu’s goldfish shoes are a total copy-catness from “I’m Gonna Git You SUcka!”‘s Pimp goldfish shoes… I tried to put a link in but the PTB ate it!

  18. Brianbuhbunday says:

    Hamsters!

  19. Faebee says:

Yeah, totes photoshopped. Doesn’t mean just thinking about doesn’t make me sick :(

  20. LynzCatastrophe says:

Hamster part has to be either photoshopped or those are just cute little stuffed animals, either way, without the hamster, i actually love these boots!! I can keep my feet toasty and try while showing off my cool collection of socks everyday!

  21. Not the hamster! says:

Yeah it may also be they put pictures of hamsters inside the shoes…either way, I’m pretty sure it’s illegal to do that to animals so it’s all good :)

  22. Snow says:

These are not fake hamsters, they are photoshopped.
Why? Because the platform doesn’t have room inside. It has pillars inside for support. No hamster would even fit in there.

  23. arakell says:

to end discussion about whether those are real hamsters or fake hamsters or shopped hamsters.
the shoes are Adore-1020 by Pleaser USA ( http://tinyurl.com/2vkbghf ), and the original picture is their original product picture

  24. meetoo says:

I saw a woman in the mall that had something similar to this, only with goldfish. Some woman was reading her the riot act. The shoe woman patiently waited for the PETA woman to finish, then told her the fish are plastic. Like who’d put real goldfish in a shoe to let them die, then walk around with that?? EWWW. Still – even plastic ones were kinda weird.

    • WhiskeyTownDweller says:

the riot act? What does that have to do with shoes?

      • WhiskeyTownDweller says:

I meant animals, not shoes. sorry.

        • meetoo says:

Reading someone the riot act means to chew them out vehemently. She was telling the woman with the shoes that she is a horrible person for putting goldfish in her shoes. It’s called a colloquialism. Google it – really.

    • Arukas says:

I was thinking about something like that too: animal waste. Would anyone REALLY want to walk around with urine and poo in their shoe? Oh yeah, that’s pretty sexy *sarcasm*

  25. bltgsandwich says:

The Hamster Dance will now be doubly effective!

    (and doubly cruel)

  26. Crystallia says:

Minus the hamsters, these could actually be pretty interesting shoes…

  27. LA says:

    obviously photoshopped.

  28. MissLoralei says:

This is probably the work of either a crush fetishist or the same folks that find bonsai kitten humorous. Pleaser definitely caters to the crowd looking for sexy shoes, not practical shoes. They do make shoes that have compartments that open so you can put glitter, toys, poker chips, dice etc. inside. There are also models that have a tip jar with money slot built right into the platform. Those particular boots have a solid foot bed, so no worries for the little hamsters. The clear plastic is really hot, sweaty, and stifling in my humble opinion, but it really does it for some foot lovers. LOL God bless the weird ones. Life would be dull without the diversity.

    • jackie31337 says:

You know Bonsai Kittens is fake, too right?

      http://www.snopes.com/critters/crusader/bonsai.asp

      • meetoo says:

I saw it next to the Jackalope in a store once… :)

      • MissLoralei says:

Congratulations you win a Captain Obvious Cloak. I’m not saying the pic isn’t photoshopped. I’m just saying that the person that photoshopped it either has a bonsai-kitten-esque sense of humor or s\he’s a perv like that. Yes, there really are some sadistic weirdos out there. Probably not a LOT of them, but there are a few… just watch that animal cops show on animal planet some time.

  29. Kj says:

Like PETA cares. They’re all too busy “saving” the goundhog that is used for Goundhog’s Day -_-

    • Random says:

You mean when they’re not busy stealing service dogs from the blind and killing them.

      • Ivy says:

Or fire-bombing St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital.

        • Zocktoast says:

Or comparing themselves to Ghandi, Martin Luther King Jr. and Jesus.

          • Fezick says:

They (PETa) practically live in my backyard. Every year I go to the fishing contest on their pier, supported by the MUCH more peaceful anti-Peta activists, to piss them off and watch the IT guys come down and ask if they can have some of the fish we cook up. (Apparently they are in so desperate need of IT people they don’t have to take the Vegan vow they make the rest of their employees take. . .) Don’t get me wrong, I love cute little fuzzy critters, but those Peta nuts are like the extremely homo-phobic [sic] politicians of the animal rights community. (enjoy the high-brow pun :-p )

  30. Annie Crimefighter says:

I find it amusing that there are actual people commenting who can’t tell these are fake. I’m more concerned for those individuals than any shoe-hamsters.

  31. shopped says:

clearly photoshopped. you can so tell those are not real feet.

  32. molly says:

its shopped the hammys r in the exact same position, or they could be fake ones glued to the shoe

  33. Robbie says:

I would put pikachus in them!!!

  34. suzycatmama says:

Either real or fake, it is offensive.

  35. cheekybubblebath says:

these r so flippin MAD! i wants sum!
who knows where i may but sum of these?

  36. JournalGirl says:

bummer on the photoshop. i want hamster shoes. peta can kiss my butt.

but to avoid the cost of upkeep, not to mention waste products, i wonder if there are shoes that have fake hamsters.

  37. Hannah says:

Maaaaaaaaannnnn! I want those shoes WITHOUT the hamsters!

  38. Your mom says:

Totally photoshopped but it’d be cool to have em with fake/stuffed hamsters. ^^ That’d be cute!

  39. greennettle says:

Besides, if they were real hamsters, they wouldn’t be just hanging out, with their little ears up, looking mildly interested; they’d be dead of shock.

  40. Alaina says:

Of course they are photoshopped, it would be inhumane to have actual hampters in your shoes. You all are simply brilliant >.<#

And the shoes are brilliant as well! Except, I'm not being sarcastic this time, 'cause I do like the shoes!

  41. cassie says:

there fake.. how do i know this? i have them heels :P , and as far as i can remember .theres no hamsters in them hehe

  42. sam says:

srry! i ment what woul happen if the chamber where the hampster wuz caved in?
a moment of silence for the hampsters……………
    ok were good

  43. Melayahm says:

77 comments and mostly about the same thing? What are you all, morons? Ah, wait, I geddit, the answers are all shopped as well, that’s the joke, got it!

and yeah, can you say sweaty, sticky, stinky feet? Very sexy!

  44. lalalandalways says:

    thank GOD those are photo-shopped.

  45. katie says:

jeez you guys… http://pleaserusa.com/showStyleImage.asp?PROD_CD=ADO1020/C/M see? same pic, from the manufacturer’s site. no hammies. so can you please get over the whole shopped/fake hammie argument? it’s shopped. end of story.

  46. lamignonne says:

ok, I love animals of all kinds and in no way would ever want to see an animal mistreated. These shoes are hysterical. It’s obviously shopped in and people need to get a sense of humor over the obviously ridiculous. I wonder if they make little bitty boots for my kitties…

  47. dani says:

this is sick some people have chinese dwarf hapsters i have a chinese dwarf hampster :(

  48. Ash says:

Y’know what’s sick? That you have a hamster and you can’t even spell “hamster” right.

  49. jenn says:

these r pretty cute excedpt for the whole hampster thing im not sure if i would wear them though

  50. Justin says:

I’m really disappointed that in all the “OMG SHOPPED” vs “OMG PETA” arguments, nobody brought up the best part about these shoes.

Not only are they photoshopped, but that hamster is actually a miniaturized giant space hamster. He goes by Boo, and he thinks you’re just ducky.

  51. Duke says:

Clearly I’m too late with this, but I would heartily encourage each and every person who comes to this site regularly to stop explaining that the hamsters are photoshopped to those who post with indignation or horror at the “abuse” of these hamsters.

You’re simply wasting irretrievable bits of your precious life, as these people _clearly_ aren’t reading the comments anyway. If they _are_ reading the thread, and post such things anyway, I doubt that “one more time” is all it will take to make it sink in….

  52. sylverodo says:

does any body notice she;s not wearing socks thats just gross. I knew those hamsters were fake from the begining and i’m eleven

  53. Hana says:

omg did none of you actually figured out that this is photoshop ,,,the hamster could fit inside coz strippers shoes like these has the platform inside divided in three “room”s which you can actually even see on the picture, the three “stripes” there,,, so tell me how would you fit the hamster inside … no even mentioning that in each shoe the hamster picture is identical to the other, its just a photoshop copy,, so calm down everyone nobody is putting animals inside shoes ,,

  54. Laney says:

omg, if those r real… 4 that, then that should b Animal Crualty….. and Fashion Crualty while we’re at it!

  55. Katt says:

and im just wondering if i were real, if some1 would put in a zhu-zhu pet in em!

  56. bessie says:

Wo i like em, But it needs to be a lil more realistic, Get a toy that looks like a hamster and put it in there, And another that looks exactly the same except in a different postion
